The upcoming vivo X20 will be powered by a Snapdragon 660 chipset and offer facial recognition that will be able to unlock the device within 0.1s.
vivo itself confirmed the Face Wake (as it calls it) feature officially through a teaser on its Weibo account while the chipset comes by way of a leaked image showing the phone in the wild.
This clears the air as to the differences between the vivo V7+, which was officially announced yesterday, and the X20. The V7+ uses a Snapdragon 450 chipset with 4GB of RAM (or 3GB depending on the model) and has a 5.99-inch 18:9 screen of 720x1440px resolution, while the X20 has a more powerful Snapdragon 660 that will likely be paired to 6GB of RAM, a 5.8-inch AMOLED screen of 1080x2160px resolution. The X20 also boasts a 24MP selfie camera and 24MP main snapper (as part of a dual camera) and a 3,500mAh battery.
